Write Content for a Matrimonial Site

Cupid Media, an Australia-based dating/matrimonial site with a "Muslim" channel is seeking an online Islamic content developer to beef up and improve content for the site.

The ideal candidate for the role should:

Have knowledge of Muslim women’s issues

Be a recent graduate or currently studying for a relevant tertiary qualification e.g. journalism, creative writing, marketing communications, public relations etc

Have strong editing/proofreading/copywriting skills and the ability to write engaging and consistent content relevant to Muslim women worldwide

Have a strong understanding of Islam, the Qur’an and the ability to discuss relevant women’s issues from an Islamic point of view

Have excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills and the ability to work independently on a project or in a team environment

Read more about this job here.

Because the nature of this site is not strictly Islamic in its approach, many writers may feel that it is wrong to contribute to its development. On the other hand, this position may provide the chosen writer with the opportunity to write quality content that serves to educate and remind Muslims of proper etiquette when it comes to choosing a spouse.

Kindly share your opinions below. Would you write for a site like this?

The Message Magazine

I just came across a Muslim magazine published in Australia: The Message Magazine. You can download each issue and read it on-line. Right now, I am not sure if the magazine needs writers or pays them for their work. If anyone knows, please leave a comment below.
