Hiba Magazine

I mentioned Hiba Magazine a while back. A sister who writes for the magazine (Sadaf Farooqi) was kind enough to leave me two comments providing more information about payment and updates to the website. Jazzacki Allah khair, Sister Sadaf. I have always envisioned this blog as being a catalyst for Muslim writers to come together for support and information.
So, if you are interested in writing for this market, check out the following links:

Guidelines for Writers and Info. about Payment

Since payment is in Rupees, you may also wish to check out this Currency Converter. As it happens, there are at least six countries that use the Rupee. Hiba is based in Pakistan, so I assume payment is in Pakistani Rupees (in case you weren't sure which conversion to use).

If I understood the guidelines correctly, however, writers living outside of Pakistan do not receive financial compensation for their work.

Asalaamualaikum,
Yes, that is correct. Writers living outside Pakistan do not receive monetary compensation. They receive the magazine copies in its place. I have been published in Hiba so am speaking from experience.
