Writer's Digest Annual List of the 101 Best Websites for Writers for 2010

Earlier this week, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this blog (Resources for Muslim Writers) has been selected by Writer's Digest as one of the 101 Best Websites for Writers for the third consecutive year—no small feat when you consider that more than 3,500 writing blogs and websites were nominated for the honor in 2010. Thank you to those who nominated this blog and continue to visit. I have received many e-mails this year from people who say that this blog has helped them find their first writing gig or gain enough confidence to query magazines.

While I still have much to do in terms of improving this blog and making it a richer source of knowledge and information for my visitors, I am happy that the blog is at least fulfilling some of its goals. I hope you will continue to write to me with suggestions and feedback on how to make the blog more useful.

Writer's Digest is already accepting nominations for 2011.

If you'd like to see this blog stay on the list for next year, please consider sending in feedback and a nomination.

Directions:

1. Send an e-mail to writersdigest@fwmedia.com with "101 Websites" as the subject line.

2. Write a short note asking the recipient to check out the site for possible inclusion.

Make sure to specify the name and url of the site:

Resources for Muslim Writers
http://www.muslimwriters.blogspot.com/

3. If you have time, please mention why you think the site should be included.

wa jazzackum Allah khair. All nominations should be received by January 1, 2011.

Assalamu 'alaykum:

Eid Mubarak Sis Amel!

Mabruk on your blog's inclusion on the WD's Best Websites for Writers List! MashaAllah!

Your site is a fantastic resource for Muslim writers indeed! May Allah reward you with the best in this world and the next for the work you do in supporting and informing Muslim writers

I review books for Muslim teens and kids especially Islamic Fiction. I've had a few aspiring authors asking for information about publishing and writing. I've referred them to this site as well as to the IWA (of which I am a member). In light of this, I've a post about resources for Muslim writers scheduled on my blog soon and I'm including a link to your site here.

Keep up the excellent work!

Ma'salaama.
