Writers to Help Improve Muslim-Western Relations

I haven't explored this enough to know what it's all about, but the Common Ground News Service is seeking writers to help build Muslim-Western relations.

According to the ad I saw on Craigslist:

"CGNews-PiH is seeking to incorporate the views of young people through the regular publication of a Youth Views column featuring the perspectives of young people ages 14 to 27. CGNews-PiH would like to encourage interested young writers to pitch opinion piece ideas and sign up to become part of our roster of writers receiving our calls for articles. The fee for an accepted article is $50. Through their participation in this project, young people can take the lead in building bridges of understanding between the West and the Arab/Muslim world and promoting constructive perspectives and dialogue in their own communities. "

As stated above, this is a paying opportunity. Please leave a comment if you decide to participate.

As-salamu Alaykum, Sister Maria,

This was an ad that appeared on Craigslist seeking writers for the website mentioned above (Common Ground News Service).

If you visit that website (http://www.commongroundnews.org/), just click on "Submit Article," and you will find more information, including guidelines for writers.

I have scanned the guidelines and do not see any mention of payment (unlike what was mentioned in the ad). So, be sure to check with an editor before submitting an article if this is of concern to you.

Let us know how it goes, insha'Allah.

Sincerely,
Amel
